Autopsy - Mental Funeral [CD]

Autopsy - Mental Funeral (35th Anniversary Edition)

Experience the raw, unhinged brutality of Autopsy's seminal 1991 death metal masterpiece, 'Mental Funeral', presented in a special 35th anniversary double-disc edition. Newly remastered and featuring a bonus commentary disc with the band members themselves, this release is a must-have for fans of US gore legends.

Formed in San Francisco in 1987, Autopsy's early work on Peaceville Records, including their legendary debut 'Severed Survival', cemented their status as pioneers of the death metal genre. After a hiatus, the band triumphantly returned, continuing to deliver their signature sound of depravity and brutality.

'Mental Funeral', Autopsy's second studio album, is widely regarded as one of the greatest death metal albums of all time. Recorded in late 1990 and featuring iconic artwork by Kev Walker, the album's uncompromised collection of odes to brutality is wrapped in a highly distinctive, raw, and organic production.

This 35th anniversary edition boasts remastered audio by Greg Wilkinson at Earhammer Studios and includes a special bonus commentary disc where Chris Reifert, Eric Cutler, and Danny Coralles share their recollections.
