Desperate Journalist - Gilding the Lily [CD]

Gilding the Lily is the sixth studio album from London alternative band Desperate Journalist, on a single-disc CD. It’s for listeners drawn to atmospheric indie rock, post-punk intensity and emotionally resonant guitar music.

The album continues the band’s evolution with powering guitars, a tightly locked rhythm section and Jo Bevan’s distinctive vocals. Desperate Journalist have built a devoted following across five previous studio albums, and their last album, No Hero, achieved their strongest UK chart performance to date.

Lead single ‘Terrible Years’ brings together melody and rampaging rhythms, while the tracklist also includes ‘Empire’, ‘Melancholia’ and ‘20th Century Women’.
