He was a key architect of the late '70s/'80s synthesiser revolution with David Sylvian's art-rock ensemble 'Japan'. His work influenced artists such as The Human League, Duran Duran, Gary Numan, and Talk Talk. His ongoing tenure with Steven Wilson's Porcupine Tree (including albums like 'In Absentia' and 'Closure/Continuation') further solidifies his status as an intuitive and unique musician.
