Ghost Dubs - Oblique [CD]

Oblique is the second album by Ghost Dubs, the project of Michael Fiedler. This one-disc CD explores deep, cinematic dub techno through atmospheric soundscapes, submerged rhythms and hypnotic loops.

Following DAMAGED, Ghost Dubs pushes into a sound that is lower, moodier and richer in tone, blending blurred melodies and echoes with the lingering spirit of Jamaican dub. The album marks a distinctive step in Fiedler’s evolving sound.

Standout moments include the atmospheric opener “Low Times”, the haunting “Soft Collapse” and the noirish “Blackout Dust”. On “Bombed Suburbs”, chopped and slowed melodicism shapes a magnetic lock groove.
