For nearly a decade, Lucia has been carving out her place as an artist in the UK indie scene. Her latest record, Picking Petals, is the culmination of that hard graft and bold vision — an album rooted in her Scottish upbringing and shaped by the creative community she has built around her in Glasgow and beyond. This album captures the essence of Lucia & The Best Boys’ live shows— loud and electric, featuring collaborations with Lauren Mayberry of CHVRCHES and Abigail Morris of The Last Dinner Party.

Picking Petals was recorded in Scotland, with Lucia heading north to write in weather-beaten bothies and working with acclaimed alt-pop producer Yves Rothman in Mogwai’s Castle of Doom studios in Glasgow. The album builds on the foundation of her debut, Burning Castles, but sharpens its focus to deliver a more raw and energetic sound.

Lucia & The Best Boys have recently shared stages with notable artists, joining Wolf Alice on their Blue Weekend tour and opening for The Last Dinner Party. In summer 2024, Lucia toured with Shirley Manson on Garbage’s UK and European shows, highlighting a strong connection within the Scottish music scene.
