The Wannadies - Bagsy Me

Discover the vibrant rock sound of The Wannadies with their fourth album, Bagsy Me. Originally released in 1997, this album features the UK Top 20 hit single 'Hit'. Building on the direction of their previous work, Bagsy Me masterfully blends catchy guitar pop with energetic punk-pop influences. The record is characterized by retro synth sounds, powerful melodies, and infectious hooks, creating a dynamic mix of upbeat tracks and more introspective moments.

While retaining the playful spirit that defines The Wannadies, Bagsy Me also showcases a more mature and serious side of the band. The album artfully balances cheerful pop energy with deeper emotional tones. The nearly nine-minute closing track, 'That's All', stands out as a particularly hypnotic and atmospheric piece, providing a memorable conclusion to the album.

Bagsy Me is a strong addition to The Wannadies' discography, delivering memorable melodies, energetic guitar work, and the band's signature ability to fuse alternative rock with irresistible pop songwriting.
