Rare Earth Permanent Magnets
Neodymium magnets are the most powerful magnets available (per unit volume) and are often referred to as Rare Earth Magnets. They have an elaborate manufacturing process of vacuum melting, milling, pressing and sintering. These magnets can then be sliced into smaller magnets or ground to tighter tolerances using diamond grinding tools.
Neodymium magnets are relatively new, they were developed in the mid-1980s and can now be found extensively in countless modern applications from fridge magnets to wind turbines! You will find them in disc shapes, pot, ring, rectangular, rod and many more!
