Sixteen Horsepower - Olden [2LP Vinyl]

Olden is a black vinyl reissue bringing together Sixteen Horsepower’s first two studio sessions, recorded in 1993–94. It captures the band’s early, raw sound and includes live recordings from Denver’s Mercury Cafe.

Sixteen Horsepower helped shape the Denver Sound, combining Appalachian folk, bluegrass, gospel and country influences with a modern, rock-informed approach. Their music ranges from haunted ballads to fire-and-brimstone sermons.

Hear original versions of ‘American Wheeze’, ‘South Pennsylvania Waltz’ and ‘I Seen What I Saw’, alongside rare, previously unreleased recordings. The collection was originally released in 2003.
