The Electric Light Orchestra were one of the biggest and most successful bands of the late 1970s, selling over 5 million albums in the UK alone and producing a string of iconic hit singles and albums. This 20-track compilation, 'All Over The World: The Very Best Of ELO', features remastered versions of their most celebrated songs, including 'Evil Woman', 'Don't Bring Me Down', 'Mr Blue Sky', 'Livin' Thing', 'Sweet Talkin’ Woman', and 'Hold On Tight'. It serves as both an excellent introduction and a powerful re-introduction to the legendary sound of ELO, blending rock, orchestral arrangements, and pop sensibilities into a unique and enduring musical legacy.
Album Information:The Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) was formed in Birmingham in 1970 by Jeff Lynne, who served as the band’s frontman and primary creative force. ELO’s music combined rock with classical orchestration, creating a rich, layered sound that defined much of 1970s pop and rock. Their influence can be heard in modern acts such as Grandaddy and Super Furry Animals. Jeff Lynne later became a sought-after producer, working with music legends including Paul McCartney, Tom Petty, and George Harrison.
