Ibibio Sound Machine - Chopping Mountain [Vinyl]

Chopping Mountain is the sixth full-length album from London collective Ibibio Sound Machine, led by Eno Williams and Max Grunhard. This vinyl release brings together music shaped by the band’s experiences and their longstanding mission to promote love, unity and resistance.

With Max Grunhard producing for the first time since 2019’s Doko Mien, the album follows the Hot Chip-produced Electricity and the darker, clubbier sound of Pull the Rope. Williams’s distinctive vocals lead songs including “Return to Sender”, inspired by a car accident she experienced as a spiritual attack.
