The plant grows up to 1 metre tall in frost-free climates and produces bright green fruits that turn red as they ripen. This finely ground paprika is ideal for enhancing a wide variety of savoury dishes.

Add to eggs, meats—especially pork and poultry—casseroles, soups, fish, shellfish, vegetables, sauces, dressings, and marinades. Use in batters and coatings for chicken and fish, stir into paella and goulash, or sprinkle over potato salad, devilled eggs, rice dishes, and potatoes before roasting for added flavour and vibrant colour.
