This extraordinary vinyl release captures the profound musical connection between the renowned saxophonist/flutist and the master tablaist, alongside their Sangam trio partner, drummer Eric Harland.
Album Significance:
The album is rooted in studio sessions from Mumbai in 2009, intended for a project that was ultimately left unfinished. 'Sangam & Friends' features an expanded ensemble, bringing together Carnatic singer Vijay Prakash, Rakesh Chaurasia on bansuri, Sabir Khan on sarangi, Ranjit Barot on keyboard, and Niladri Kumar on sitar, creating a rich tapestry of sound.
